Well done to LSSL’s Street Cleansing Manager Stephen McCoy for being shortlisted for an Outstanding Individual award! The LGC Awards are the local government equivalent of the Oscars (yes, really), and this year, a record number of entries from a record number of organisations were received.
The award looks for key qualities from local government workers, including resilience, compassion, flexibility, innovation and the creativity to cope with adversity. All of which Stephen has in abundance.
Stephen has been shortlisted with 7 other candidates out of hundreds of entries, to move forward to the next stage of judging. The winner will be announced in July.
Colleagues from across LSSL and LCC nominated him for an LGC award as recognition of his leadership and commitment to his service throughout the outbreak of Covid.
Good luck Stephen!
