A recent Enforcement success has seen a Liverpool business found guilty and fined £630 for fly posting.
The business was found to be advertising across Liverpool and had been previously advised about the consequences of fly posting over the years. Their adverts had become a blight across the city and had generated multiple complaints from residents & businesses!
On April 13th, the business owner was subject to a successful prosecution at Liverpool Magistrates Court which resulted in him being issued the following fines;
Victim surcharge – £80
Recovery of cost – £150
The offence of fly posting is displaying adverts without consent, and is illegal under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
