On Sunday evening (6th May), Liverpool played host to an incredible live show which took over the area in and around St George’s Hall. It was a real celebration of the city, its musical heritage, Ukraine and Eurovision – featuring a comeback performance from Frankie Goes to Hollywood, as well as star turns from Conchita, The Lightning Seeds and Atomic Kitten. The landmark event also featured a stunning show courtesy of 624 drones (see photograph below) and 200-foot cranes featuring impressive aerial performers.
So far, it’s been fantastic to support the Eurovision celebrations, and to be a part of the biggest party on the planet!
This week we’ve been working at the Eurovision Village, and across the city centre servicing bins, clearing up all litter, street washing and keeping the city looking sparkling for over 100,000 visitors.
Check out the BBC’s ‘Welcome to Liverpool’ film below, which features LSSL (only for a moment, but still, it’s great to be included and recognised as part of the party!)…
