LSSL recently said a fond farewell to Graham Alexander, who has hung up his street cleaning boots after 44 years! Graham was a much loved member of the LSSL team and will be missed by many. He was one of the first people to come up with the idea of ‘Trash 2 Cash’ converting rubbish into cash, while removing waste that had been fly tipped on the street.
Peter Killey said: “Graham helps everyday with the donations, he does the collecting and he drops off the cheques at Zoe’s Place so they’ve got to know him really well over the years. He’s the face of the entire operation.”
Zoe’s Place recently visited Newton Road with the bear and presented Graham with a large cheque to show just how much money LSSL has donated since 2016… Over £95,000!
The team will continue collecting scrap metal to donate, and Graham is still going to be involved. Check out the full article in the Liverpool Echo here:
