It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Last weekend, LSSL’s Forestry team installed this year’s Christmas Tree on Church Street – a wonderful 47 foot Sitka Spruce!

The team worked hard on Sunday evening to install the tree in record time despite the inclement weather conditions. To install the tree, the team were required to reduce the width of the tree base to fit in the ground, remove netting, tidy branches and ensure that the tree was secured. The installation is finalised with the erection of fences around the perimeter area of the tree.

Who’s feeling festive?!

Christmas in Liverpool continued yesterday as three more 25ft Christmas trees were installed in Hunts Cross, Woolton and West Derby – check out the trees below! LCC Streetscene officers are currently working together with elected members to put up a number of smaller trees in various wards across the city where elected members have donated trees to those wards.
