Liverpool celebrates the Lunar New Year in style!

Our city centre cleansing crew have been on a mission, busting weeds, banishing litter, and giving the pavements a good clean in the weeks leading up to Lunar New Year. Extra people were attracted to the city centre to celebrate the Year of the Dragon, which means more work for our crews cleaning up during and after the celebrations.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had extra staff working and additional bins put out to accommodate the visitors. In the lead up to events like this there’s lots of preparation work to do, such as weeding and street washing, which involves more teams coming in to make sure the area looks its best.
