It is estimated that up to 10,000 people attended Liverpool’s Remembrance Sunday Service yesterday at St George’s Plateau to remember the contribution of those in service to their country during war and conflict.
LSSL Street Cleansing and LCC Streetscene supported veterans and volunteers with cleaning up Liverpool Cenotaph in the city centre, and the other war memorials around the city, both in the run up to the day and on the day.
It was heart-warming to see our colleague James Axon playing the bagpipes with the Liverpool Scottish Regimental Association on the special day. Here’s a picture of the service, with James at the front on the right.
Lest we forget.
