A win for LSSL at the LGC Awards!

We are celebrating a fantastic result in last night’s Local Government Chronicle Awards – the ‘biggest national celebration of excellence in local government’.

Congratulations to all who were involved in the introduction of Underground Refuse System (URS) to Liverpool, who worked on and delivered the project, which has not only revolutionised waste collection in Liverpool, but also offers a unique approach for other UK public sector organisations looking to install underground bins.

We are super proud of our LSSL colleagues who worked really hard leading on this project, alongside APSE and Liverpool City Council. The LGC awards seek to recognise and celebrate the absolute best in local government, and this is a wonderful achievement for our staff.

If you scroll down you’ll see pictures of our colleagues Graham Smith and Louise Mitton looking smart at the awards with LCC colleagues! Louise and Graham are two key members of the team who worked on the scheme.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to the following teams and people for their hard work. Very well deserved!:
