New programme launched to tackle the issue of dog waste in Liverpool

In an ongoing effort to tackle the problem of dog fouling, 120 new signs have been put up in 27 wards across the city so far, and 180 floor stencils have been marked up, to make dog owners aware that those who don’t pick up their dog’s mess will be fined if caught.

Alongside the signs, LSSL Enforcement Officers and Streetscene Neighbourhood Officers have teamed up to engage, educate and enforce, in relation to responsible dog ownership.

The programme will be revisited in June when we will be able to clearly see the results of the work carried out this month, and if it has had an impact.
