This site in County ward was highlighted by Environmental Health as problematic and detrimental to public wellbeing, being overgrown and a regular hotspot for fly tipping.
As part of a working relationship with LCC Streetscene and Environmental Health, a charge is laid against sites that are problematic to LCC and where landowners have been enforced against, which allows funding for Environmental Services like this.
So we got to work! LSSL undertook a full site clearance; removing a tonne of fly tipping and chipping all shrubbery, which was recycled back onto the site, acting as a weed suppressant to slow down future growth.
